Under the supervision of the Med/Surg Manager and CNO, this position is responsible for the coordination and management of patient care. The House Supervisor is responsible for all activities of nursing administration in the absence of the coordinators/managers and has first line authority in the absence of hospital administration. This position coordinates and integrates interdepartmental services to accomplish positive patient outcomes. This position, as a Registered Nurse, practices nursing within the realms of standards of nursing practice, nurse's code of ethics, and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act. The supervisor participates with the nurse clinical coordinator to assure proper functioning of all clinical departments through administrative and technical direction and assists in the accomplishment of the hospital's mission statement through integrated leadership.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
- R.N. currently licensed in the State of Indiana.
- CPR, ACLS certified
- Must submit to influenza vaccine annually
- Corporate compliance
- Annual fire/safety training

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Graduate from accredited school of Nursing
- Previous relevant Medical Surgical and/or OB, ED, Critical Care experience required.
- Relevant Acute Care experience.
- Prior management experience required.
